HOLIDAY VILLA IN THE BEAUTIFUL SOUTH WEST OF FRANCE

The villa is situated in Neuvicq which while a very small village does offer a number of attractions. Beau Vallon, about 5 minutes away by car or 10 minutes by bike, is a beach lake offering a restaurant, a children's play area and the opportunity to cool off in the cordoned off swimming area.

There is also a local pub less than ten minutes walk away - Les 3 Promises.

A number of country walking routes are shown on a map in the village square near the church. You might also consider going to buy the locally made Pineau (a type of fortified wine) from one of the local producers.

The nearest town Montguyon (4kms away) was originally a fortified castle town. Now a bustling market town it holds a market on the first Wednesday of every month with stalls selling some fantastic fresh local produce. Here you will also find a collection of shops, bar/restaurants, banks, pharmacies and the local Intermarche supermarket (which is just on the outskirts of the town).

You will find the Tourist Office just beside the Maire's Office in the Main Street.  It's worthwhile making a visit since you will then be able to get an up to date list of any events taking place in the area during your stay.

At certain times of the year you can also get a tour of the castle.

Just on the outskirts, there is Wine tasting and a Pram Exhibition (over 300 prams dating back to 1840) at Château de la Magdeleine, Saint Martin D'Ary.
